Chat Marble Race

Terms

Last updated 4 August 2026

Chat Marble Race is run by The Work Works LLC. These terms are between you and The Work Works LLC, and they cover playing the game and using this site. They are written to be read, not to be impressive.

Agreeing to these terms

Typing !join in the live chat means you agree to these terms.

That is the whole agreement step. You do not need an account to play — no sign-up, no email, no password. Linking your channel on this site is optional and only exists so you can pick a marble colour.

Being removed from the game

You can be removed for an offensive display name, for spam, or for trying to manipulate results.

Removal is at The Work Works LLC's discretion and does not require notice or explanation. A stream that anyone can type into needs to be moderated quickly, and waiting is not always practical.

Removal takes your name off the current race, the weekly board and the hall of fame. If you think it was a mistake, email chatmarblerace@gmail.com.

Marbles, skins and achievements

Everything cosmetic in this game is exactly that: cosmetic.

Nothing in this game is a prize, a contest, a sweepstake or a wager. There is no entry fee and there is nothing to win but the marble reaching the bottom first.

How races are decided

Races are decided by a physics simulation. Marbles are dropped, they bounce off the same obstacles under the same rules, and one of them gets to the basin first.

There is no skill component. Nothing you type after !join affects your marble, and there is no strategy that helps. The only fairness guaranteed is that every marble in a race runs the same rules — beyond that, it is chaos, and that is the entertainment.

The service is provided as-is

There is no uptime guarantee. The stream goes down, the game restarts, races are missed.

Leaderboard data can be lost, corrupted or reset — by a bug, by a hosting failure, or deliberately. The Work Works LLC is not liable for the loss of race history, standings, achievements or anything else stored by the game, and provides the game without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows.

Put plainly: play it because it is fun to watch, not because the numbers are permanent.

Changes

The Work Works LLC can change the game, the rules of the game, or these terms at any time. The date at the top of this page says when the terms last changed. Continuing to play after a change means you accept it.

Your data

What the game stores about you, and how to delete it, is covered on the privacy page. The short version: type !forget in the live chat.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules.
